In September 2015, by order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 05.09.2015 No. 1738-r, a new version of the Standard for the Development of Competition in the Subjects of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Standard) was approved, which was developed to establish a systematic and uniform approach to the implementation of the activities of authorities on the development of competition between economic entities actors in the sectors of the economy.

By the order of the Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug dated November 24, 2016 No. 387-rg "On approval of a set of measures to promote the development of competition in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug", the following were determined:

- The authorized body for the implementation of the Standard in the NAO;

- A list of priority and socially significant markets to promote competition in the Nenets Autonomous Area;

- A list of indicators of the effectiveness of the development of competition in priority, socially significant markets and the implementation of systemic measures to promote the development of competition in the Nenets Autonomous Area;

- An action plan (“road map”) to promote competition in the Nenets Autonomous Area.
