In order to involve local governments in the process of creating favorable conditions for the development of a competitive environment in the okrug, a methodology has been approved for rating municipalities according to the level of promoting competition.

In accordance with this document, the Economic Development Department of the Department of Finance and Economics of the Okrug formed a rating rating of municipalities based on the results of their activity to develop competition in the region for 2018.

The main evaluation criteria are: compliance with antitrust laws, engaging residents in surveys aimed at assessing the quality and price level of goods, work and services in the district, as well as the implementation of systemic measures that promote competition in the region.

An assessment of the actions of local governments will be an incentive to improve the measures taken, and will also reveal the best municipal practices of the region with a view to their further replication.

The development of a competitive environment in all areas of the region’s economy will ultimately provide the consumer with the right to choose a quality product or service at an affordable price, as well as create equal conditions for all business entities operating on the market.

Information on the implementation of the Standard on the territory of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug is available on the Investment Portal of the Okrug in the "Development of Competition" section, as well as on the official website of the Department of Finance and Economics. Information on rating calculation is presented in the attachment.
